ALONG COMES MARY

One of my most favorite things about Summertime is anticipating getting outside to experience some live MUSIC & go to concerts! I always am amused recalling my early days attending shows & how I snuck in a one time use camera (“Fun Saver”, is that what they were called?!) to get a few pictures; I would camouflage the camera under a huge feminine pad, then seek out a male security guard in hopes he wouldn’t want to investigate under such a product 😉 Verdict? It always went well, but I will say I am glad I can just bring my phone in to most venues now, then hope for a selfie with my favorite artists post show.

I’ve been extremely lucky to see some awesome concerts over each Summer that has passed, & the bonus is that they are usually outdoors. Whether I am heading out to The Greek Theatre to see my favorite girl, Tori Amos, or watch The Simpsons take over The Hollywood Bowl, it’s always such a wonderful reminder that I live in a great city with loads of live music to see & hear. The Irvine Amphitheatre is awesome, too; yes, there’s a lawn, so therefore “nose bleed” views, but to still be at John Mayer or Kroq’s Weenie Roast is a great evening out.

Next up, one of my DREAM concerts will become a reality, a day after my birthday no less: Madonna. Yes, the Madonna. Shes coming to LA & I am so thrilled that I will be there! I always fret over the perfect outfit (I am thinking some Drowned World ’01 tour-esque; plaid skirts, boots) as well as making sure my essentials are in my bag.
