Turn a City into a Scavenger Hunt with Urban Adventure Quest (& Promo Code!)

Who knew there was a scavenger hunt in the Getty Center? Thanks to Urban Adventure Quest, we got to experience one of our favorite museums in a new way. We just had fun celebrating Mike’s birthday. I wanted Mabel and I to give him a unique gift. Since it’s clear we all love to explore, I thought of Urban Adventure Quest.

We were first introduced to Urban Adventure Quest a few years ago. My sister-in-law, Nikki, gave us a quest for Christmas. Adventure seekers purchase a code to redeem for a scavenger hunt in a place of their choice. The family-owned company offers dozens of destinations to have your quest.

We had such a blast racing through Santa Monica for our last quest. Even though I’ve been to the beach city numerous times, I’ve never stopped to learn more about it. Doing the Urban Adventure Quest showed Mike and me places we still go to today. As I scrolled through the list of options, there were so many familiar spots close to my heart. I considered Solvang, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills. Then, I saw the Getty Center.

A Quest Through the Getty Center

The Getty Center has been close to our hearts since we met. We got engaged there and had not visited since Mabel was four months old. As much as I love to see recognizable cities in new ways, I decided on the Getty. It’s one of the few attractions Urban Adventure Quest offers and I knew it’d be an interactive way to explore with Mabel.

Because Mike is the detail-oriented and logical one to my breezy brain, he was the Team Captain for the quest. Each quest can comfortably have up to five team members. There is no limit to the number in your team. However, if a group is larger, you can also split the teams up by purchasing multiple quests. We were a team of three and chose the team name the Fearless Farahs.

While only one mobile device can answer the questions in your quest, multiple devices can access the game. We went ahead and just used Mike’s phone. The quest has 17 rounds to complete. Many questions and hints involved looking closely at a work of art. Given some of the paintings are from the 1500s, they sometimes have needed a face life over the years. The quest had us looking for little updates or changes to works, a specific hat on someone in a very large group wall painting, and fun challenges like that.

Plan an Urban Adventure Quest

Another good feature is you can pause the quest up to two times. This would be especially helpful if completing a quest in a city and you need to take a break or go further to a location. Mabel has gotten a kick out of the city Leader Board pages. Each quest city will show you the teams with the highest scores. We have a date to go back to the Getty to finish our last few questions so hopefully we’ll grace that page shortly.

For a limited time, save 35 percent on your own Urban Adventure Quest. Just $31.85 after Promotion Code: FGBLOGGER. With the holidays around the corner, this would be such a fun gift.
