Top 5 Must Sees at Eek! at The Greek. And Enter to WIN!
I am so excited that Along Comes Mary has been invited to not only attend Eek at The Greek in Griffith Park’s Greek Theatre, but also give away FOUR TICKETS so you can join in with me, too. Here are some of the things I cannot wait to see when I go on October 27th, which also happens to be the day after my birthday đ
1) Wicked: A Fable for Orchestration.
As a special treat for fans like myself of the hit Broadway musical Wicked, which is the amazing prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the orchestra will present the first performance on the West Coast of Stephen Schwartzâs new symphonic suite, Wicked: A Fable for Orchestra……they had me in at that.
2) The Orchestra.
This family friendly event featuring the 60-piece Symphony In The Glen Orchestra with Maestro Arthur B. Rubinstein will present a creepy collection of frightening favorites including: The Sorcererâs Apprentice, and Manuel de Fallaâs Ritual Fire Dance.
3) Edgar Allan Poe will be there.
Sort of. The program will showcase the return of Poeâs âThe Tell-tale Heartâ with special guest narrator, critically acclaimed actor Stacy Keach. You cannot get much more Halloween than a great reading of a Poe tale.
4) Watch the kids trick or treat.
Adding to the festivities, The Greek Theatreâs front plaza will be transformed into a âTrick-or-Treat Village,â welcoming families to bring their children for safe trick-or-treating and Halloween activities from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, including crafts, face painting and a costume contest. The costume contest will begin at 4:00 pm in the front plaza with the finale taking place during intermission on The Greek Theatreâs main stage which will be Emceed by LA’s very own KTLA 5 Morning News feature reporter Allie Mac Kay. Mac Kay calls her segments, âthe fluff in between car chases, death and destructionâ â and she would have it no other way. She gets to highlight businesses, events and people all over Southern California every morning.
5) Have fun before 10-31.
What a great way for the family to have a spook-tacular evening out for Halloween, complete with trick or treating, before the 31st. You will get to celebrate 2 times this year!
Tickets start at just 12.50, click here to book now & to enter my giveaway, simply leave me a comment telling me of your favorite Halloween costume. For additional entries, click here to LIKE The Greek Theatre on Facebook, & HERE to LIKE ACM. You can earn a total of three entries. Enter by October 23rd. Good luck! xo
(*Disclosure: I am being provided with tickets for Eek at The Greek as well as tickets to host a giveaway.)

October 2, 2013 at 3:57 pmOh, we were hoping to go to this and would love to win! đ My favorite costume is one I made for my son 2 years ago. He was a life-size Lego, wearing his school uniform. He loved it and so did everyone at school and when we went trick-or-treating, kids wanted to take pictures with him. Maybe I’ll blog about it and post pics. Best. Costume. Ever. 1st Place in his class. đ

October 14, 2013 at 9:35 pmCool! My favorite halloween costume that I’ve worn is probably a dia de los muertos inspired costume. I’ve also been a really cool broken doll. đ
