The Nail Garden in Valencia! #SoCalLovesNails #ad
Its December, gang! Where the heck did this year go?? I was very AWOL the past week & hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving…I sort of feel I have jumped the guns & am beginning my new year a month early….I took a beautiful trip to The Getty (my first time!) that I will be telling you about, have reviews of some great friends’ new books I am reading and oh…yeah, welcome to Along Comes Mary’s new home & URL! What do you think?? I am having to start a bit from scratch so, please feel free to subscribe & spread the love 🙂
Tonight was a super fun evening with The So Cal Lady Bloggers. I was invited out to The Nail Garden in Valencia, which is actually just a hop, skip & a jump from Pasadena (about 35 minutes, I thought I was looking at an hour) for a Girls Night Out to learn more about this great franchise-business as well as their toy drive going on through December 18th.
Walking in, I felt more at home than I usually do at a nail salon. Lots of times, I have felt a real ‘get in, get out’ kind of atmosphere & thus why I am not one to often get my nails done. At The Nail Garden, you’re warmly greeted & offered a drink…they even have cappuccino! With so many great shades to choose from, you certainly will have no issue finding the perfect nail polish for you. I am all about it being the holidays once again, so I opted for Mariah Carey’s In My Santa Suit shade by OPI. All of Mariah’s Christmas colors are fun & cheery, whether you want a glittery gold for New Years Eve, or a vixen-esque plum for standing under the mistletoe, she’s got you covered! (& I do admit…I had a childhood flashback recalling her ’94 album, All I Want for Christmas is You…).
While I could tell all the manicurists were wonderful, I was extra happy with Maggie. She made me feel right at ease about the shape I wanted my nails filed & made me feel extra good during their famous lotion arm massage…ahh! Carolyn & Melissa are regulars at The Nail Garden, & I can see why.
With locations in Valencia, Sherman Oaks, Brentwood, Burbank & Studio City, & 2014 will find new locations opening in Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach & Northridge, among others to be announced, why not experience for yourself how fun this nail spa is? Through December 18th, if you donate a toy/game/book/DVD for the UCLA Children’s Hospital, you will receive 15% off your services as a thank you. Want to head back on in for a touch up for New Years? Through end of the 2013, mention “So Cal Lady Bloggers” also for 15% off (Offers may not be combined).
I am so happy I got to see for myself how great The Nail Garden is, & get a cute manicure to kick off the season. Check them out by clicking here, & book your appointment today!
(*Disclosure: I was provided with a complimentary manicure in exchange for this feature. All opinions are my own & I highly recommend this nail spa!)

December 2, 2013 at 7:58 pmCongrats on the new site–it looks great! I hope they’ll come a little farther south. I love getting mani/pedis but it’s hard to find a good salon that you feel comfortable in. This one sounds great!
