The 6th Annual Roadshow Revival: A Tribute to Johnny Cash, is Coming to Ventura! #ad

2014 JC Banner

Growing up in nearby Solvang for quite a few years, I was so excited to get an invite to The 6th Annual Tribute to Johnny Cash Festival & learn that it will once again be taking over the Ventura Fairgrounds over Father’s Day weekend!

Being one of the largest tribute concerts on the West Coast, it will be in full swing for 2014 as “A Tribute to the Music of Johnny Cash” arrives at the grassy fields at the beachfront Ventura County Fairgrounds on Father’s Day weekend. The sixth annual event will feature popular outlaw country, rockabilly, bluegrass and Johnny Cash tribute bands, plus a pin-up girl pageant, hot rods, custom cars and motorcycles, Johnny Cash memorabilia, food & beverage, a kid’s corral and scores of vendors with unique offerings and collectibles.

While the full lineup is still being developed, several musical acts have been confirmed, including country music maverick Dale Watson, preeminent San Diego blues/rockabilly outfit
The Paladins, The Americans a Los Angeles-based original Americana band who recently appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman L.A. native, current Nashville resident and celebrated multi-instrumentalist James Intveld and the highly energized American music makers, Snake Oil Salesmen.
More bands will be added to the lineup in the near future, and the headlining act will be announced on May 5, 2014.
Visit Facebook for up-to-date event information, merchandise specials, and ticket giveaways. Tickets are available online by clicking here; all performances and activities included. General admission tickets are $35; active military receive “Two for One” (valid government issued i.d. required) and car show
I am super excited about this event, & watch for more posts in the coming weeks leading up to the weekend! 🙂 xo
(*Disclosure: I am being provided press tickets to promote this festival.)

What a great idea for Father’s Day Weekend! Johnny Cash was always one of my favorites and the weather should be beautiful.
