The 12 Days of Christmas Movies! Day 1: Muppets Christmas Carol

Muppets

Christmas is officially in full swing, & I thought how fun would it be to do a post a day up to Christmas with a movie recommendation for you? I have some awesome favorites lined up to share, you probably are familiar with a lot of them, but, I hope you discover some new faves, too 🙂

DAY 1: THE MUPPETS CHRISTMAS CAROL

Released in 1992, this was the first Muppets film following the untimely death of Puppeteer legend, Jim Henson. Directed by his son, Brian, this classic holiday musical tells the Dickens tale of Mr. “Bah Hambug!” Ebenezer Scrooge, played by the always brilliant, Michael Caine. The rest of the famous characters are represented by The Muppets. Kermey nails it as Bob Cratchit, just sayin’.

Just like The Muppet Movie & Muppets Take Manhattan, The Christmas Carol has some of my most favorite, & most memorable, songs. From the lyrically driven opener, ‘Scrooge’ to Bob Cratchit’s poignant “One More Sleep til Christmas” long time composer, Paul Williams, delivers such a diverse, rich soundtrack that progresses the story line & helps make The Christmas Carol very accessable for children.

Stay tuned for my pick for your Tuesday! xo

I love Muppet Christmas Carol! And it’s actually a very accurate portrayal of the book.
