Pieology: My New Favorite Gluten Free Spot! #GlutenFreePizza

Pieology has just opened their newest location in Granada Hills! If you’re like me, you may be thinking, “Pie…huh?” but, Pieology has become the SoCal spot for a great pizza. It was my first time visiting (Granada Hills is right by Calabasis, so you may even spot a Kardashian or two, haha) & I was impressed….

DSCF5508Very similar to the popular sandwich shops & Mexican grills where you build your own meal, Pieology does just that with your pizza; you choose the sauce, cheese, toppings & crust…which includes, gluten-free! The options were overwhelming to me, everything sounded great but I went with one of their selections from the menu…they must have known people like me were coming 😉 So, if you’re like me & indecisive, they have a bunch of menu pizzas to choose from.

DSCF5512Mine included fresh tomatoes & basil. I asked for the marinara sauce instead of the usual olive oil sauce that comes with certain pizzas. It was so fun to watch my pizza prepared in front of me!
I love how gluten-free friendly Pieology is. While they are unable to guarantee separate ovens for no risk of cross contamination, they certainly make every effort they can otherwise. They change their gloves & even have separate sauce jars strictly for the GF orders.

DSCF5513Despite how busy the parlor got, the staff was so friendly & sweet, like Taige, above! Everyone made us bloggers feel so welcome.

DSCF5523My pizza was delicious, my friend who joined us, Tacia, is also gluten-free & we were very impressed by how flavorful the crust was, & its texture….we have had many that have that flat, cracker taste, & Pieology has mastered making a great non-cracker gluten-free crust….

DSCF5524And, what pizza is complete without dessert?! They offer brown sugar & cinnamon sticks made on their pizza crust, which they will even make gluten free….I am SO in! 😉

You can see where your nearest Pieology is by clicking here. If you’re not in the SoCal area, definitely keep a visit in mind if you’re ever down in LA!

(*Disclosure: I was invited out to Pieology for a complimentary meal. All opinions are my own & it truly is now one of my favorites.)

Yum, that looks pretty good. Fresh Brothers is still my go to choice for gluten-free pizza but will have to check this out if I’m ever in the area.
