Perfect question for me as I leave for San Jose, California, today for 4 nights & 5 days of wine, food, friends, shopping, Jazz & more.

Since I will be up north for a few days & am taking a flight up to there, my motto is always: The more, the better. Since I’ve been that person devastated that I left something behind or do not have a favorite accessory or something mundane….like a hairdryer….this happened in New York to me…friends, don’t let this happen to you!

I’ve also found out that traveling is not the time to bust out outfits you’re unfamiliar with; when I was in Las Vegas, I wished I had brought some of my everyday essentials along instead of new garb. For San Jose, since it will be warm, I am relying on my summer dresses & easy cute pairs to grab like this skirt & tee….

As a woman, something I always need to keep in mind? Aunt Flow. There have definitely been times while traveling that my groove has been side-swiped when my time of the month decides to show up & wreck my style…literally. I definitely have some ‘uniforms’ I tend to grasp to when deciding what to wear when it’s ‘that time’, & have chosen my undies I use that week wisely. Dresses & skirts like the one above, used to not be apart of this wardrobe, but, with U by Kotex’s 3D Capture Core, I absolutely have no fear. I can wear whatever I want, including favorite undies, & even keep my confidence (which, mind you, can be a challenge…just ask my boyfriend…I am that cliché of a woman crying, convinced she’s put on 20 pounds, all while dying for chocolate).

Above, are some more of my must-haves when I travel, & what I will have on me for this weekend. Toothpaste, cleansing towelettes, nail polish, sun screen, lip gloss & my 3D Capture Cores, just in-case! 😉

    First off, have a BLAST in San Jose…can’t wait to hear all about it!

    My suitcase is half packed for a work trip I’m taking this weekend to Florida! I’m with you on the take outfits you can trust bandwagon…takes some of the stress out of traveling if you already know you feel/look great in some outfits!

    For me, it’s not so much the “must haves,” but the must of HOW I pack that is most important to me…Ms. OCD. For important trips (like this one), all my outfits are already preplanned with accessories and packed in individual Ziploc bags. I know. It’s outta control. But then I don’t stress on assembling “looks” when I should just be enjoying the trip!

    Anywhoo, that’s my two cents on packing.

    Again, best travel wishes! Yea for San Jose!
