Eat See Hear has Arrived for the Summer!
Most of my best memories growing up in SoCal involve being outdoors. To this day, I love an evening at The Hollywood Bowl or Greek Theatre, or hanging at Disneyland. I have so many fun events lined up for this summer & one we just got to attend this past weekend courtesy of the series…what is it, you ask? Well, here are some hints…..it involves 3 of my favorite things….
You EAT at a food truck
You SEE one of your favorites movies
You HEAR awesome live music from a LA indy band
And, all outdoors in a beautiful LA hotspot like The Autry at Griffith park, or in Pasadena!
Eat See Hear has officially began & will be going through mid-September, Eat/See/Hear offers a yearly mix of family favorites like Sixteen Candles & The Goonies, to date night classics like The Big Lebowski & this years first showing, (500) Days of Summer, at Santa Monica High School.
We arrived around 6, enough time to contemplate over which food truck to try. It was a tougher decision for Michael than me, as, sadly, many of the trucks were not very gluten-free friendly besides sides & salads. While the sushi van looked very tempting, I went with Chancho’s Tacos & their cheese enchiladas ($12 for 2, plus rice & beans) were delish. Mike went with a Hawaiian Burger ($8) from an all-natural truck.
They also had dessert treats like ice cream & bread pudding. As a huge fan of Brasil Kiss Coffee, an organic mobile coffee ‘shop’ (Only in LA, right?!!?) I decided to wait in the line since ‘It didn’t look too long” 😉 Well, folks, 40 minutes later, I had my Americano in hand & didn’t even miss the start of the movie!
The live music begins at 7pm, while the gates open at 5:30. Eat See Hear is such a great way to spend your Saturday night, but remember to add in enough time as the food lines get very filled quickly. Doggies are welcome, too! They even get a free biscuit upon entering but don’t forget to keep your buddies on a leash & pick up after ’em.
And, don’t forget your blankets & jackets! It got cold on us & we were lucky to have a blanket with us.
What’s a better way to get outta the house on a hot Summer night & do 3 awesome things all at the admission price of under $15 bucks? Check out their VIP “Fashionably Late” offer, too! 😉
Tickets for all Saturdays are sure to sell out, last week did! So, grab yours by clicking here!
Happy May! xo

May 13, 2014 at 3:46 pmHow fun! I’ve never heard of this (but then I’m closer to Orange County than LA). I’ll have to keep my eye out though; since it moves around, I just might be able to make it one night.

May 18, 2014 at 7:01 pmWhat a great way to spend an evening! We have free movie nights around here, but no music & no food. I’ll have to see if they’ve started these up for the season 🙂

May 21, 2014 at 8:30 pmI always wanted to see an Eat See Hear summer movie series, but never made it out for an event… only so much time!
But what a way to kick off the summer than with “500 Days of Summer.”
