Eating in Las Vegas!
Having seen so many movies & TV shows that feature Las Vegas, like Nat. Lampoons Vegas Vacation or one of my favorite episodes of The Rugrats when they head to ‘Slots Vegas’, you can imagine how excited I was to finally see this famous landmark city! It did not disappoint, & I am so thankful I had my blogger buddies by my side as we painted the town & attended the New Media Expo 🙂
While all those clichés are there; the booze, the gambling, the gorgeous people, my favorite staple was…the FOOD. We were lucky to hit up some fun spots on our short trek, & as per Michael’s (my main squeeze) recommendation to check out a buffet, Melissa & I had a blast as we went from The Atlantic City cocktail reception (where we got to hang with Miss America), to the Seafood Buffet, which was PERFECT for a Pescatarian gal like moi 😉 For only $50, you can help yourself til your heart is content of nearly every kind of seafood you can think of; we had shrimp, mussels, mini lobster tails, Mahi mahi filets & even sushi, which tasted super fresh & perfect. For those who do like meat, you can even find beef dishes & some fried foods with shrimp & chicken. If you’re a vegetarian, they’ve got egg rolls, veggie sushi, mac ‘n cheese & plenty more. Despite its name, everyone can find something to have at the seafood buffet.
Their staff couldn’t have been nicer, either & they also got a full bar for some additional money if you have beer or wine on your mind.
Upon our Thursday night arrival, we decided to stay close to (temporary) home & grab grub at The All-American Grill, inside The Rio. This intimate sports bar & grill is perfect for a wholesome quick dinner or a burger & fries fix. I had a delicious salmon filet with mixed veggies & mashed potatoes. Mmmm…
Friday night found us at the original Lindo Michoacán (Us below), a small & amazing Mexican restaurant chain out there. Ann’s friend had told her it was a must-eat-at place & he wasn’t kidding. Famous for their margaritas, Melany & I each had some of the Cadillac’s & as a tequila lover, theirs get my approval! Another place with excellent staff & perfect for anyone, definitely check out Lindo Michoacán whether or not you’re there to drink. The food was just as yum.
Y’all know how I have a major crush on breakfast? Well, when we decided to grab something before The Expo at The San Pablo Café, also inside The Rio. They boast a HUGE menu for all three meals of the day. Melissa got a pancake sandwich (& like how I am, putting the eggs on the hotcakes…THATS a pancake sandwich, folks!) & I, a smoked salmon omelet with excellent crispy hash browns.
I was also super happy to see that the rooftop restaurant inside Vegas Paris offers a gluten-free menu. Hopefully I will report back to you about it next visit! 😉 xo
