A Date Night at PF Chang’s, & Enter to Win a Trip to Boston!! #spon
When PF Chang’s invited me to be apart of their sponsored post campaign to try out their food, tell you about their awesome contest with Sam Adams & share my experience with you all, there was absolutely no hesitation from me that this was a perfect fit. I have been going to PF Chang’s for a few years now, ever since I’ve been gluten-free, & each visit has made me more of a fan.
I was excited to take Mike, my main squeeze, out for a date night here since his birthday was over the weekend & any excuse to get out for dinner & have some fun, quality time, is always excellent. PF Chang’s is perfect in that it feels so romantic, intimate & the food is exquisite, but without the fancy, top-notch restaurant prices…or dress code!
We headed out to our location in Woodland Hills & got a great booth right by the entrance, making us “The Poster Couple”, I teased 😉 I was craving a “grown up” drink & was surprised at their vast cocktail menu. I ordered their organic agave margarita & was not disappointed; I am a girl who has tried quite a few tequila & lime concoctions, & this one was blended to perfection. Mike opted for an old reliable: sake & I couldn’t help but take a few sips, since their sake is my usual go-to.
Another great thing about is their seasonal menu, for Summer, they are featuring:
Vietnamese Lemon grass Chicken Spring Rolls Lemon grass chicken, Julienne carrots, celery root, cilantro, peanuts, Thai basil and mint wrapped in cool rice paper, with a sweet chili dipping sauce
Heirloom Tomato Salad Market-fresh heirloom tomatoes, avocado, Thai basil and zesty ponzu dressing
Chiang Mai Curry Noodles with Chicken Sliced chicken breast wok-tossed with egg noodles, Fresno peppers, cilantro and a coconut-curry infused broth, garnished with Brussels sprouts and topped with crispy wonton
Seared Ahi with Wasabi Guacamole Yellowfin tuna, seared and served rare, topped with wild baby arugula and green beans in a chili-lime ponzu sauce, served with wasabi guacamole
Orange Peel Shrimp Hunan chili sauce with fresh orange slices, garnished with daikon sprouts
Cantonese Lemon Chicken Fresh, crispy whole chicken breast sliced and drizzled with warm lemon sauce and served with chilled broccoli salad
Pink Cherry Cosmo Absolut Citron Vodka and Cointreau Liqueur with fresh lime juice and cranberry juice garnished with a Pink Blush cherry
Spicy Paloma Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila and fresh jalapeño slices, balanced with freshly squeezed white grapefruit juice.
I was really hoping to try the Seared Ahi, but, alas, it contains gluten. Lucky for me, they’ve got a wonderful gluten-free menu section right on their main menu. I opted for The Buddha’s Feast, as I was craving tofu…but, guess what? When it arrived, there was no tofu. When requested gluten-free, it must come sans tofu. I felt awful as I inquired to our Waitress, Ali, about this. She was on a mission to make my order just how I needed it & promptly returned the veggie dish in exchange for their gluten-free shrimp in lobster sauce (Above). She even switched out my brown rice, in-case it was cold. The shrimp entrée was perfection. Gluten free or not, if you’re into sea food, you will love this!
My boy ordered from the seasonal menu, getting the Korean BBQ Chicken Stir-Fry (below) & let me tell you, I am not a chicken person, but if I ever were, I would try this. He can be a “selective” eater (in a good way, Mike!!) & said it was great.
PF Chang’s is the perfect dining destination whether you want a nice, laid-back date night, a girls night, boys night (they boast a bar & TV!), a family evening (many kiddos with their families were there) or even need to plan a group event. PF Chang’s is the place to go, with something for everyone on your list. Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Meats, Alcohol, they have it 🙂
Aaand, how would you like the chance to win a $100 gift card & a trip to Boston?! PF Chang’s & Sam Adams Beer want to make that happen for you. A contest called “Perfect Pairings” is being held, & I Have the details for you:
