Currently, In My World….
Something cool about owning a larger home is being able to discover you like one room for certain things, or finding yourself in one more than the other, after having spent most of your time in the living room. I am currently sitting in our 2nd bedroom, that we affectionately call “The Spare Room”. We have hopes of making it our office/guest room, but, alas, as we’re knee-deep in demolishing the downstairs bathroom & taking out kitchen tile, so, this room has been perfect for all our access stuff as well as the desk for the computer. While Mike plays a computer game & does his work, I have been finding myself getting cozy in the spare room with him, & looking forward to when it’s even more M&M (Mary & Michael) complete; with our pictures, posters, you get the idea.
Which, brings me to another topic: Our home improvement! It’s slowly but surely coming along, & I still have plans to create a series of posts entitled “Project Peephole” as I want to (hopefully) attempt to install one…stay tuned 😉
Yesterday, I came across this fun post & decided to follow in Kara’s suit, so, here are some things I am CURRENTLY doing….
Drinking— A really great cup of Starbucks Italian Roast coffee, in a sturdy mug from London.
Listening— to Michael play YouTube videos of video game trailers. Aside from that, I have been listening to a lot of Garbage & Tori Amos radio on Spotify in my car.
Wishing— Honestly? That I felt 100%. My anxiety has been getting to me this week. I’m still able to get out & about, at-least, & enjoy my dogs & life. Felt really sad I needed to bow out of my friends baby shower, though, cuz of ailments. Things could be worse, though.
Watching— I’ve become obsessed with Parenthood. After I completed The Gilmore Girls on Netflix, I knew I needed another show to binge on in between the time frame that I am home & Mike is not yet (We watch Star Trek together, which I also heart & he also made me the biggest Twin Peaks fan, so sad we finished that series so fast).
But, yes, Parenthood is an excellent drama about a large family in Berkeley, California. Check it out!
Eating–You know what surprised me in a great way? The Girl Scouts came out with a gluten-free cookie this year(!), Toffee-tastic, & they’re delicious, just ask Michael, who somehow had more than me 😉 (Thank you Girl Scouts, for remembering us GF’ers!)
Writing— This blog, & really trying to get my butt in gear to write more articles to pitch to web-sites. The ideas in mind will take some extensive time & research, but, I did get a reply from a published writer I adore & would like involved with one of the projects, so, I’m hoping that means a step in the right direction.
Reading— Not enough. Which I really should change if I expect to improve my own writing skills!
Looking Forward to— Seeing my friend, Ariel, while on a layover, next month, & 2 blogging conferences I have this summer.
What are you Currently up to in your world? 🙂 xo
