Comedy and Movie Night at The Wiltern Theatre July 8th.
Another staple to Summer for me is the array of concert venues thriving with musicians making stops on their tours. Most of my concert experiences take place this time of year, and two favorite shows have been at the gorgeous Wiltern Theatre here in LA. Despite these events were many moons ago (Garbage in 2002 and PJ Harvey for my 18th birthday), I recall how much in awe I was at this concert hall, and the beauty of their architecture.
Fast forward to 2016, and The Wiltern continues to roll out the acts. Yet, as of late, they have introduced their “Movie Night at The Wiltern” events. Makes perfect sense as this theatre is also an ideal, old time-y space to see a classic film.
On July 8th, they will be hosting “Comedy and Movie Night” with plenty of giggles from The GI Jokes Comedy Show followed by a screening of Good Morning, Vietnam, which will serve as a poignant remembrance for the late, great, Robin Williams. Benefits from this family friendly evening will partially go to Volunteers of America Veterans Service.
General Admission seating is only $10, with VIP Tickets selling fast at $25, and gets you inclusive of VIP preferential line, one free pop corn and reserve seating. You can also add VIP Parking for an additional $20.
Tickets available at www.wiltern.com/ and www.universe.com/goodmorningvietnam
I hope you will join me for what is sure to be a fantastic evening at one of LA’s most historic venues, while remembering those we have lost.
