ALONG COMES MARY

Afew evenings ago I had the pleasure of going out to Costa Mesa (Of South Coast Plaza fame) for a fun VIP Open House at the very posh & great Lotus Salon. Walking into the salon, you instantly feel at home as everyone is super friendly & accommodating. I was treated to the royal treatment with a shampoo/conditioner treatment & a sexy, full blowout. While I waited for my appointment with Jill, they had plenty to keep their clients occupied out front with a DJ, delish drinks compliments of Skinny Girl (My Cherry Vanilla Martini came in at under 300 calories!), Pizza & meatballs from Artisan Pizza & a silent bidding for several gorgeous gift baskets; some were valued at over $300, but starting bids were a mere $25! While I didn’t win any of the bids, they were all awesome to look at & get ideas for products I would enjoy trying.

Next up, it was time for my close up!;) Originally, I agreed to a braid….but was very skeptical, I haven’t done braids since I loved Pippi Longstocking growing up….thankfully, my stylist, Jill, could tell of the fear on my face! So, we agreed with the length of my hair to do a blow out & it looked just like we had hoped, sexy & awesome!;) Very 60’s-esque flip on the bottom, too. What do you think? (You can’t tell much of a difference in the picture, but it was just my hair..bigger!).

I cannot recommend Jill enough, she was so sweet & open to making me feel comfortable. I enjoyed hearing her opinions & ideas for my hair (She thinks I should go for a lighter/even purple-y red tone, as I have been wanting to color it red, what do you think?!). And, to get an idea of Jills magic, below is a photo from the web-site of one of her creations:)

Since this evening, I have been able to try out some of the wonderful hair care products they have at Lotus. So far, my favorite are the products by Davines LOVE. My hair smelled so good & was super manageable, I also have been wearing an adorable headband by Violet Love Headbands, check them out!:)
