Artist Ray Ferrer in San Diego This Friday….

"Old School" - A Tribute to the Typewriter(Old School)

One of my first followers for ACM was the very talented, nationally recognized spray paint artist, Ray Ferrer of the blog, Urban Wallet. While he is based on the East Coast, SoCal & San Diego residents will have the rare opportunity (& hopefully the first to come of more) to see his work this Friday night during a private showing at The San Diego Museum of Art. Ray’s work is so unique, as it seeks various harmonies and ideas to visually engage his audience. He uses art as an opportunity to experiment with the range of possibilities allowed through his choice of materials, spray paint and hand cut stencils.

Ray’s work captures spaces of partial or full illumination between the perfect shadows on all sides of a person or an object. The artwork conveys the real beauty of the subject. The viewer is able to appreciate the simplicity, splendor and exquisiteness of his subjects.

His work is raw, stripped back, honest.

The exclusive evening will give you the chance to meet Ray himself, see his beautiful pieces as well as mingle & socialize while enjoying light refreshments & wine. The event is from 6p-8p & RSVP is required by contacting [email protected]m.

What a great showing. I do love his art work. Black and white has always been to draw me in. I would love to go but alas, again, I am too far away. Are you going? If so have a great time. 🙂

I too love black and whites. I found Ansel Adams and was hooked every since. I wish I could go to
    his showing.
