Artisian Foods & Interactive Apps Add to The Fun at Street Food Cinema! #SummerInLA
Cool Outdoor Movies, Street Food, and Good Music Bring Angelenos Together at this Summer’s Hottest Outdoor Event Destination!
It seems like everywhere I am turning, there is a great outdoor movie event to check out! The next one on my list? Street Food Cinema. When they invited me, I was unfamiliar with their annual Summer events & what set them apart from the other awesome ones out there.
What they’re doing this year is adding MORE movies, MORE food & MORE FUN! to their roster.
In addition to their regular season, Street Food Cinema is partnering with the City of Glendale for July and August to bring this summer event series to downtown Glendale’s Central Park. Street Food Cinema: Glendale Series will further enrich Glendale’s expanding focus to bring unique and exciting entertainment to the city.
(Me & my girlfriends are going to Bring it On in Culver City this week!)
This summer they’ve also launched “The Market” featuring artisanal food vendors providing delicious noshables such as baguettes, hand-made preserves, cheeses, olives, fresh fruit and sweets that are ready to take to picnic blankets and enjoy immediately. At every event, Street Food Cinema enlists 10-15 different food trucks. Participants include Hollywood favorites such as Kogi BBQ, Seoul Sausage and The Lime Truck (both winners of Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race), the popular Grilled Cheese Truck and Cousin’s Maine Lobster (as seen on ABC’s Shark Tank) as well as new trucks such as Carb & Nation, Farmer’s Belly and Chicken & Rice.
And the FUN doesn’t stop there! Adding to interactive experiences of comedy and games, Street Food Cinema is also excited to announce the launch of a new app! The Street Food Cinema app allows fans stay connected on “SFC Live” and chat with other event attendees. Forgot a bottle opener? Want feedback on what truck has the best burger? No problem! Just sign in to the app and chat away with people at Street Food Cinema in real-time. The app also allows guests to purchase tickets, get the latest updates with a live Twitter feed, and view videos and photos from current and past events.
(Say Anything opened SFC opening night, complete with “Diane Court” herself, Ione Skye, on hand!)
