Tea for Two at The Huntington Library….

When I was a little girl, I loved the days out of the month when my parents would take me to The Huntington Library in San Marino. We had a membership & it felt like a 2nd home to me. I especially can recall thinking Pinky & Blue Boy were my friends whom I had to say hi to each visit (Hehe…). While we always took in the traveling exhibits, permanent galleries & of course, gardens, I never did visit their famous tea room till afew years ago when a friend treated me for my birthday….
I had not thought of sharing this lovely day on the blog till Cameron recommended it, so, here you go! 🙂

While they had scrumptious salads, fruits, cheese & rice noodles, suitable for a gluten-free gal, I admit: I took the risk, my friends. I had my share of the scones….& jams….& Lord knows what else. It was all delicious & I would return in a heartbeat. Since it has been afew years, I cannot recall every single dish I had, but I do know we had fun with the (legit) green cheese…..

While your choice of teas are listed on an up-dated menu & are served to you, as well as the scones, the rest of your food is buffet style, so you have your pick at which cheeses, meats, etc, you wish to try. I had a black tea, & green….

The atmosphere is very stately, & intimate. Reservations are recommended & you will need to pay the admittance into the library. While we waited, we had such a blast taking pictures out front of the room of one of their gorgeous rose gardens…

I cannot say enough great things about The Huntington, & Tea Room…I am thinking a return for my birthday this Fall just may be in order 😉 For more info, check out their web-site.

Hurray! It looks so fun! And it’s nice to see the inside, since I’ve only peeked in through the windows;)
