12 Days of Christmas Movies! Day 4: Nightmare Before Christmas
Christmas is officially in full swing, & I thought how fun would it be to do a post a day up to Christmas with a movie recommendation for you? I have some awesome favorites lined up to share, you probably are familiar with a lot of them, but, I hope you discover some new faves, too 🙂
DAY 4: THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Another classic from my childhood, enter the magical, emo world of Tim Burton & meet Jack Skellington, The Pumpkin King of Halloween Town. While the whole town awaits his Halloween celebration each year, Jack is feeling very dis-enfranchised & over October. While walking his trusty ghost canine companion, Zero, Jack stumbles into a mysterious, new world called Christmas Town & feels he has, at last, found what has been missing from his life & embarks on his new endeavor to kidnap Mr. Sandy Claws & take over Christmas Town.
Filled with an incredible soundtrack by Danny Elfman (& featuring Elfman as Jack’s singing voice) & such memorable songs like “This is Halloween” & “Whats This?” this is such a clever, diverse film that has become a staple for kids & adults alike.
The Nightmare Before Christmas reminds each & every one of us that its ok to feel depressed, to want something more out of life. It also shows us that maybe what we want is right under our nose, waiting for us to see them.
Stay tuned for a special DOUBLE FEATURE Friday edition!! xo
