12 Days of Christmas Movies! Day 3: A Very Brady Christmas
Christmas is officially in full swing, & I thought how fun would it be to do a post a day up to Christmas with a movie recommendation for you? I have some awesome favorites lined up to share, you probably are familiar with a lot of them, but, I hope you discover some new faves, too 🙂
DAY 3: A VERY BRADY CHRISTMAS
Today’s selection might have some of you thinking, what? Or, that old TV movie?! But, I was a baby when this premiered & it’s always been one of my quirky favorites to see late at night on TV this time of year.
In the first of several Brady Bunch reunion movies (& later a short-lived series), Mike & Carol Brady are attempting to surprise each other with a vacation. Mike wants to take his Mrs to Japan, while Carol thinks an adventure to Greece would be perfect-o. Trusty housekeeper, Alice, knows about both excursions yet doesn’t dare expose either surprise. Once the cat is out of the bag, the Brady’s decide to use their savings to invite Greg, Marcia, Peter, Jan, Bobby & Cindy home for the holidays, & we get a cool little glimpse into the adult responsibilities & grown up issues going on in the Brady kids lives.
Wally, Marcia’s husband, has just been fired, yet again, Greg’s wife doesn’t want to join in as she has her own family to visit, Jan is in the middle of a divorce, Peter is dating his boss, Cindy rather go on a ski trip with her college pals & Bobby has to figure out how to tell the squeaky-clean clan that he’s dropped out of business school to become a pro race driver.
Phew! Drama all around on Clinton Way 😉
Whats even better, before you watch A Very Brady Christmas, is to watch the entire series on Hulu, with your family! 🙂
